To choose music which sustains a level mood - calming,
an even loudness and emotion will be your next task. I have sampled
(1 min. only) below quite a few 'sounds' that will enhance
your experience. Note: The audio sampling need not feature from the
CD sleeve shown below it - only a generic example. Choose one that
suits your mindset and mood (explore beyond this classification till
you find one that suits you). Get yourself tapes/cd's falling into
this genre. Simply sit quietly and focus all your attention on the
music for a 10 minute period. Practice regularly, with the same type
of music, while slowly increasing your concentration on the music.
Slowly but surely you will begin to hear the sounds that come from
within, instead of the audible sounds from outside. Listen to them
and focus on them. Very soon you will be able to change your meditation
from listening to music to listening to the subtle sounds.
